FirM Jr is an ir repeater system (38Khz) which does not require any intelligent controller to operate. Up to 6 FirM Jr Zone Receivers can be connected to the FirM Jr repeater by way of cat5 cable. So for users who already have a structured cat5 wiring system in place , its just a matter of plugging the FirM Jr Zone Receivers into a cat5 socket in each receiving room and patching to the FirM Jr controller at the central closet .
The transmitted ir is available at the “ir out” socket located at the front of the controller . A 4 way or 8 way Splitter must be plugged into this to allow distribution to ir emitters . Since FirM Jr Zone Receivers are used the transmitted ir is also available at each FirM Zone Jr Receiver location. .

There is also an opto isolated “ir in ”socket located at the front of the FirM Jr controller which allows other hardware devices such as Homevision , Cbus, UsbUirt ,Kat5 etc to inject ir signals to control devices.
