The Probe system will automatically detect if a temp sensor is connected to Probes 5 + 6 whenever a request is made for the Probe status via the serial interface, and reports the temp via the serial interface if a temp sensor is connected..
A standard digital sensor ie video or led probe can still be connected to probes 5 + 6 if required..
Current testing is being carried out with a Dallas temp sensor connected to a 50m piece of cat5e cable..
