The FirM + FirM Jr IR Receiver as shown in the pictures above are the same device . Technically speaking the device is a transceiver as the transmitted ir is available at the 3.5mm socket located at the rear of the device.
The IR Receiver connects to FirM +FirM Jr using cat5 fly leads via a cat5 structured wiring system. The unit is located in each room that requires infrared control.

Transmitted ir as mentioned above is available and allows stick on emitters to to be used by way of a Splitter (4 way or 8 way) which connects to the 3.5mm socket at the rear of the Zone Rx Unit.

Up to eight IR Receivers can be connected to FirM and up to six IR Receivers can be connected to FirM Jr. Since the device can be used for both the Zoned ir system (FirM) and also the ir repeater system (FirM Jr) then upgrading from a repeater system to a Zoned system is a simple matter of replacing FirM Jr controller with FirM controller.
